About this project

Altamonte has experienced rapid growth over its 15-year journey, expanding both its product range and distribution footprint. With freight costs forming a significant portion of their operating expenses, the business needed a more intelligent way to manage logistics. 2Ship became the key enabler for smarter, scalable shipping.

The project began with a domestic focus – connecting Altamonte’s Melbourne Australia -based operations to 2Ship. Following the success of this first phase, the integration was extended to New Zealand, connecting a third-party logistics provider (3PL) and enabling end-to-end visibility across borders.

Strategies Employed

• End-to-End Cloud Integration Leveraged 2Ship’s cloud-based architecture to connect seamlessly with MYOB Acumatica, ensuring real-time data transfer for shipping events, tracking, and cost reconciliation.

• Advanced Aggregation and Packing Automation Implemented rules-based aggregation to combine orders by recipient, and deployed Item2Box logic to streamline packing, reducing time, errors, and air-filled boxes.

• Global Expansion Enablement Configured a second warehouse and shipping profile in New Zealand to enable fast onboarding of a 3PL and carrier (TGE), using the same API architecture as the Australian operation.

• Live Carrier Integration and Post-Ship Data Push Set up real-time rate APIs and webhook triggers to send tracking, cost, and status information back to MYOB for customer service use and reporting.

Outcome

• Productivity Gains Shipping is now faster and requires less manual intervention. Altamonte’s team processes more orders in less time with fewer resources.

• Improved Customer Experience Customers receive branded shipping notifications, ASNs, and real-time tracking links, while customer service agents have full shipment visibility directly in MYOB.

• Scalable Cross-Border Logistics With New Zealand now live, Altamonte can confidently onboard new warehouses or markets with minimal effort. The integration model supports fast geographic expansion.

• Cost Reduction Smarter aggregation and packaging, combined with real-time rate shopping, allow Altamonte to consistently choose the most cost-effective shipping methods.
